Don Di Placido BEc CA CTA is a chartered accountant with over 30 years’ experience dealing with small to medium size businesses. Don co-founded Accrue in 1988. Prior to that, he was with the Australian Taxation Office where he spent 9 years working in assessing, investigations and appeals. Don specialises in corporate structuring, superannuation, succession and estate planning, business sales and acquisitions together with providing general business and taxation advice. His business knowledge and experience spans a number of sectors including, building and construction, professional services, R&D, property development and retail. A career highlight was his role as a non-executive director for a large professional services engineering company. Don was heavily involved in the sale of the business to a listed mining services company resulting in a highly successful outcome for its shareholders. In working closely with businesses Don assists with the development of cash flow management practices, financial reporting templates, profitability targets and tax management strategies. Don attends a number of client board meetings and as a consequence is able to draw on his experiences with a range of successful business owners to help businesses achieve their maximum performance and in so doing generate wealth for their owners.
Mark De Bortoli BCom LLB FCA has 30 years’ experience as a chartered accountant in providing advice to business owners to maximise their financial outcomes. In the 10 years prior to joining Accrue, Mark worked in the taxation consulting divisions of the Big 4 and other large accounting firms both in Sydney and Canberra, providing specialised taxation advice to an extensive range of businesses across a wide variety of transactions involving all aspects of taxation including income tax, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax, and various state imposts. Mark joined Accrue in 1998 bringing this experience in servicing the broad financial needs of the business sector. Since an early age, Mark has had a lifelong learning passion for business and what makes it work. He regularly assists clients strategically with the growth and profitability of their businesses as well as cash flow and taxation management. He takes a holistic approach in assisting clients achieve best practice outcomes in structuring their affairs, protecting their assets, extracting wealth from the business and maximising superannuation available. His business knowledge and experience extends across a number of sectors in particular, the medical industry, professional services, R&D, building and construction as well as property development.
Tino Di Placido BA CA has over 30 years’ experience as a chartered accountant. Tino spent a number of years with a large private chartered accounting practice. He then decided to move on and take on the position of CEO of several large retail/wholesale corporations throughout Canberra and NSW. This enabled Tino to put into practice his extensive knowledge of business management, cash flows, company ratios, benchmarking and implementing systems , controls and Key Performance Indicators for operations employing 100 plus people. In 1990 Tino started his own accounting practice so his clients could benefit from his extensive business skills.
Peter Roberson BA CA JP has over 35 years’ experience as a chartered accountant. Over 12 of those years were spent working for one of the Big 4 accounting firms. Peter spent a further 20 plus years as a partner with a medium sized chartered accountancy firm, before it merged with one of the Big 4 firms. Peter joined Accrue in February 2017. Peter’s many years of experience have primarily been focused towards providing taxation and business advisory services to small and medium sized businesses and high net wealth individuals. Working with family businesses to help them grow and prosper is a key driver for Peter. He has experience working with and advising clients in a range of industry sectors including retail, building and construction, consulting, professional services, pharmacy, manufacturing, medical and allied health services. He has a particular passion for the health industry and has developed a specialisation in providing taxation, accounting and advisory services to medical practitioners and other allied health professionals. Peter has extensive experience in providing advice to clients in respect of business structuring, SMSF’s, estate planning, asset protection, taxation planning and business improvement strategies
